 Greetings

To fix a clfs system with loopy glibc I decided to rebuild it. I upgraded
kernel{headers},glibc and udev. (udev-157 in fact)

The built went smoothly however I foind it will not boot. There is a
problem with udev-167. I thought I would then downgrade to udev166 (which
worked with kernel-{headers}2.6.37. However udev-166 will not compile as it
needs /usr/include/vieolinux.h which is absent in linux-2.6.38.2 (I installed
).

It seems I have to perservere with udev-167. The problem seems to be the
incompatibility of clfs-bootsctipts

http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.hotplug.devel/16707

I have made the /run directory and gave it permissions 775 to no avail.
Advice to progress further would be much appreciated.

 sincerely
