[Clfs-dev] Those using graphite or curious

Greetings,

For users using graphite options:

-floop-block -floop-interchange -floop-strip-mine -fgraphite-identity -
floop-parallelize-all -floop-nest-optimize

Be warned that there are critical issues with GCC 4.8.1 and causing
issues with binaries created with graphite.

There will be runtime errors.

Also, there is an issue with ISL and GCC 4.8 (-floop-nest-optimize)
which can be fixed with this patch:

http://gcc.gnu.org/git/?p=gcc.git;a=patch;h=bffcae34bdf0412048ac450875a05b850eee5083

It's probably wise to create a branch update patch for gcc 4.8.1,
although I think 4.8.2 will be out soon from looking at the open PR
list.

Packages to avoid using graphite with:

bison
vim
bash
bzip2
gawk
ncurses and readline
gcc

Don't know about cblfs but for sure openssl, qt, gvim, x264, dbus,
gdb, mjpegtools, gegl, pango, libreoffice, subversion, vlc, valgrind,
xorg-server, inkscape, mariadb and probably mysql, libtheora, gnutls,
popppler

Sincerely,

William Harrington
