Sorry about the duplicate message earlier. I have a poor network
connection and my mail client informed me that the message hadn't been
sent, so I resent it.

Of course, I did intend to add to my notes the CLFS-Sysroot copyright
notice, license note, and location of the unmodified work. Since you
reminded me, I've done so just now. The only reason I hadn't done so
sooner is that these were just unpolished notes that hadn't been
publicly announced yet.

To clarify, I didn't actually claim any rights over anything in my
previous message. Under copyright laws of the U.S. and other
jurisdictions, copyright is automatic and by default there is little
anyone can do with a copyrighted work. I just intended to specify that
my notes on CLFS-Sysroot are free for anyone to use.

Right, there is no copyleft requirement on derivative works in OPL
version 1.0. (And IANAL also.) I chose the Expat License as a simple
permissive copyright license that is compatible with the OPL, but if
anyone needs an even more permissive license to incorporate my notes
into CLFS-Sysroot, I don't mind granting it.
