Hello, FYI Cross-Compiled Linux From Scratch Version SVN-20080724-x86 Section 5.7. Cross GCC-4.2.4 - Static the book does not match the patch repository. gcc-4.2.4-specs-1.patch is not in repository but is in the book. gcc-4.2.4-PR31490-1.patch is in the repository but not in the book.
