 Dunno whether to laugh or cry - I  _had_ already built 1.1.1, not
sure which build's log I looked at when i read 1.0.10, this starts
to look as if it might be miscompiled.  For now, I'm going to punt
on this until my eyes, hands, and head all agree about what I'm
doing otherwise this is just going to be a long PEBKAC.
