While running make all-target-libgcc  and the build system enters:

make[1]: Entering directory `/mnt/clfs/sources/gcc-build'
do you get this when it configures?

checking stdio.h usability... yes
checking for spawnve... ok
checking for dlfcn.h... yes
checking stdio.h presence... no
checking for spawnvpe... yes
checking for stdio.h... yes

Look at the build history in a log you create.
