The file openssl-1.0.0c-allow_lib64-1.patch has some errors. I found too many periods. So it was reporting errors when copying XXXX..so (two periods). Also, the "fi" statement ended up in the wrong place after the patch was applied. So it was trying to do stuff for a cygwin platform when it shouldn't.
