[Clfs-dev] Embedded book updates

Joe / Embedded Maintainers,

When you have time to take a look at my changes, I think I'm at a good
point where my embedded git repo can again be considered for merging.

I've updated the embedded book in order to fix all the currently open
embedded trac tickets: 621, 757, 758, and 759.  Sorry for lumping them
all together, they were all somewhat interrelated and not that easy to
separate without duplicating work.

If anyone has any questions / concerns, please let me know before
merging and I can address them.
