 I'm afraid I can't test the build on the alpha platform, as I only have to
 computers, one with an amd64 processor and my laptop with an intel core 2
 duo processor, so we can say I'm quite 'stuck' at x86/x86-64

 Anyway, I've made sort of a quick test, just grabbed the 4.2.2 patches,
 renamed them accordingly and applied, and applies with no problem,
 although I've never liked hunks, but they're all accepted...

 I'll try a new build on saturday (with a bit of luck) so at least from the
 x86 perspective, I'll tell you if it works on this side
